We have harnessed the power of AutoCAD with specific, yet flexible routines to draft base, strand, geography, and as-built. Design Assistant networks can be imported directly into the Drafting Assistant. All cable types, tap values, amplifiers, data blocks, etc are imported from the Design Assistant, greatly increasing drafting efficiency and eliminating errors. Everything within the Drafting Assistant is completely user customizable. That is, you can use all your own blocks, linetypes, layers, scale factors, grid layouts, etc. All customizations for each project are saved in settings files, so switching between projects is as easy as loading a different project file. Below is a quick breakout of a few of the features that will save you time and money.<\/p>\n<h2>Base Mapping<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li title=\"Draft street lines and center lines automatically offestting at a user specified distance\">Road Drafting<\/li>\n<li title=\"Automatically cleans the four unwanted crossing lines at street intersections\">Road Clean Up<\/li>\n<li title=\"Drawing routine helps draw lot lines ensuring correct linetypes and layers\">Lot Lines<\/li>\n<li title=\"Simply draw a line using this command and it will automatically create the tracks with proper distance and size\">Railroad Tracks<\/li>\n<li title=\"Routines for drawing lakes, rivers, and other geography\">Geography features<\/li>\n<li title=\"Several routines for drafting buildings and placing building blocks\">Buildings<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Route Mapping<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li title=\"Places any number of user specified pole\/pedestal types, housecounts, strand\/trench lines, anchors, etc. while calculating the distance between locations\">Interactive strand\/trench routine<\/li>\n<li title=\"Allows for entry of long strand\/trench routes, entering all necessary data using the 10 key pad. Minimizes hand travel from keyboard to mouse to quickly input route information\">10 Key strand\/trench routine<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>As-Built Mapping<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li title=\"Place amplifiers, data blocks, taps, cables, couplers, etc. always ensuring that the correct block, linetype, layer, and scale are used\">Built in routines for placing all CATV as-built information<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Design Assistant intergration<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li title=\"Amplifiers, taps, couplers, cables, end of line blocks, amp data blocks, terminators, etc. are all imported directly from the Design Assistant eliminating errors and saving time\">Imports all design information from a Design Assistant network<\/li>\n<li title=\"Ensures that all equipment used during design is drafted correctly through import and allows for customization of amp data block attribute information\">A one-to-one connection to the Design Assistant spec files<\/li>\n<li title=\"Verify that the information drafted on the map matches the information found in the design network. If small changes are made to the design, the QC tools can automatically update the drawing, including amp data information and end of line signals\">QC tools<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Mapping Utilities<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li title=\"A utility that cuts a large AutoCAD map into smaller individual drawings at the speed of approximately 2.5 seconds per map. The utility also allows for placement of custom grids and names all maps within the grid\">Map Cut<\/li>\n<li>Custom Reports<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Drafting Assistant&#8217;s comprehensive suite of tools make it possible for even inexperienced AutoCAD users to be very productive drafters.
